DM-03 explores the dark side of Trowa. Quatre and Duo are best friends and are always seen together. But lately, Quatre hasn't been feeling well due to a number of harassing calls he's been receiving. Duo is worried, so Quatre visits his doctor, Sally Po. One day, Quatre disappears. He's abducted by Trowa, lured by a conversation over tea. Too trusting Quatre finds his foot later chained to a bed. Trowa seems more gentle than psychotic when he bandages Quatre's foot, but it becomes more apparent what his intentions are when he kisses the injured foot.

Meanwhile, Duo is trying to figure out where Quatre is. He has only one clue -- Quatre's shoe that had been left behind. While all this is happening, Trowa makes love to Quatre repeatedly, telling the other that Duo would not come to save him because he was already dead. Completely spent, Quatre falls asleep. Heero reports back to Trowa that he had caught a rat in their compound. It's Duo who's devastated when he sees Quatre naked and in Trowa's arms. A shot goes off and someone is killed. It's not shown who the fallen victim was. All that's seen is Quatre unchained and in Heero's arms repeatedly asking for Trowa. It becomes apparent that Trowa's psychotic obsession with Quatre has ended.
